Minneapolis: A Legacy Destination

Awarded a Legacy Destination in 2010 by Conservation Minnesota and Minnesota Citizens for the Arts.

Several locations and organizations in the area have received Clean Water, Land, and Legacy funding.

Thanks to the Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund,

The Minneapolis Institute of Arts put on an Edo Pop: The Graphic Impact of Japanese Prints exhibit.

The Walker Art Center received funds for an Arts Learning program to help adults with developmental disabilities learn to paint and draw.

The Guthrie Theater started the Arts Access program, which offers reduced ticket prices for the Guthrie.

The Mill City Museum held a photo exhibit and commemorative event for the five year anniversary of the collapse of the I-35W bridge.

Thanks to the Clean Water Fund,

The City of Minneapolis Department of Public Works received a grant to establish an electronic newsletter for local government and general public.

The City of Minneapolis received funding to construct improvements to stormwater systems.

Thanks to the Parks & Trails Fund,

The Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board has received multiple grants for developing more trails, updating park equipment, and increasing park use.
