We purchased property on the Big Fork River a few years ago. The Big Fork River is beautiful and recreational opportunities abound! The rapids at Big Falls offers beauty and swimming holes! The area offers terrific fishing, hunting, hiking, swimming in the river at the city campground (at the approriate time!), canoeing, kayaking, ATV and snowmobile trails, horse trails, a city campground and sites for horse camping, There is an outfitter in town for our canoeing and kayaking needs. The city of Big Falls has a terrific 4th of July celebration with fun activites for all ages and terrific fireworks worthy of attending! The people of Big Falls are friendly and willing to give a helping hand when needed.
Multiple projects have been funded through the Clean Water Fund to asses watershed management and Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL’s) along the Big Fork River.
