Roberts Bird Sanctuary is one of only two bird sanctuaries in Minneapolis. It has an abundance of wildlife for being right in the city. There is a large bird community and dozens of migrating birds that make this Important Bird Area (IBA) a stop over.
Additionally other local wildlife that you might see include white-tailed deer, red fox, coyote, grey squirrels, red squirrels, chipmunks, and many other animals. I think I appreciate this place so much because it’s in the heart of the most densely populated city in the state and wild life has still found a why to survive within it, truly remarkable!
